For 20 years, Mary Pinizzotto has been teaching movement in one form or another. Her experience as a professional ballroom dance competitor gave her a love for the beauty of dance and a burning desire to use dance to promote community not competition.
As co-founder of San Diego based “the company of choice” she wrote, directed, produced and performed in ballroom/theatre shows. She was a resident teacher at the world-renowned Esalen Institute. While there, she met one of her mentors, Vinn Marti, creator of SoulMotion(tm). Mary has also received her yoga teacher training through Forrest Yoga(tm) and Life Coach training through Life on Purpose Institute.
She has a proven background as a producer– coordinating and motivating teams–and as a presenter and group leader. Combining those elements, Mary developed a holistic teaching style that doesn’t just “teach dance” but rather strives to transform lives. Her approach is part art, part psychology, part alchemy.
