Sleeping Giant performance this weekend…
These folks contacted me to try to get the word out about their performance Sept. 24 and 25th. I can’t be there myself to see because I’ll be out of town, but the premise sounds compelling –
Here’s some information and a link to the website:
“Length: 1 hr 30 mins
Seating: General Admission
You choose your seats when you get to the theater.
The Sleeping Giant is an evening of dance in two acts performed by 4 dancers: Ann Chiaverini, Deborah Jackson, Bafana Solomon Matea & Oliver Tobin.
Using a sweeping score that traverses continents and centuries the dancers move between classical lines to contemporary staging as they explore the financial trends that have brought down big players, bigger countries and has touched the lives of all of us. With humor and a poignant look at how we got here and where we are going, these dancers take the audience on a ride they won’t long forget. “
